OJJPAC to begin work on "Project RICO" Cleveland, OH--The founder of Ohio Jobs & Justice PAC (OJJPAC) announced today that OJJPAC will begin to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) against company executives who illegally hire foreign workers at the expense of lawful Ohio citizens. Steve Salvi, founder and executive director of OJJPAC, stated that although RICO lawsuits have traditionally been used to fight organized crime, the Act can also be applied to immigration law violations. "Massive corporate and political corruption has allowed millions of Americans to lose their jobs to illegal foreign workers in manufacturing, construction, food processing, and numerous service industries. Law abiding employers are also run-out-of-business because they can't compete with businesses who don't pay taxes, use less costly illegal workers, and let taxpayers pick up the costs for the illegal workers' health care and education. A RICO lawsuit is one legal tool that can make corporate criminals pay for their greed and the destruction they inflict on Ohio families and legitimate businesses," said Salvi. Salvi said that in the 2007 case Hager v. ABX Air, Inc, et al., Ohio Southern District Court Judge John D. Holschuh ruled that a corporation's executives are subject to the RICO Act if the defendants knowingly were hiring illegal aliens. |

9-11 Families for a Secure America Testify on Capitol Hill Washington, D.C.-- 9-11 Families for a Secure America returned to Capital Hill on 9-11 once again to deliver more testimony supporting the link between massive illegal migration and a corresponding threat to America's national security. The FSA testimony identified a number of government failings to secure the U.S. border that were supposed to be addressed after the release of the 9-11 Commission Report and the passage of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act. The members of the FSA are responsible for much of the security improvement that have been implemented since 9-11 and they continue their valiant fight. Oberlin City Council seemingly ignores the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights of its City employees -- to provide a safe haven for illegal aliens Oberlin, OH--The Oberlin City council voted 6-1 in favor of passage a city Resolution that would codify Oberlin's now de facto sanctuary policy, in direct conflict with federal law. To the City Council's credit, members listened to an equal number of supporters and opponents to the Resolution. Despite significant testimony against the measure from local residents, the City's chief of police, OJJPAC, and members of the Grassroots Rally Team, the council voted to approve the measure on its 1st reading. Thank You for your support! Columbus, OH--The Ohio Legislature this week passed the John Barr bill. The bill, also known as H.B. 215, corrects a loophole in the law which allowed unlicensed illegal alien drivers to kill and only be subject to a misdemeanor charge and a maximum sentence of 9 months. After illegal alien Juan Us Ralios was sentenced to 6 months after killing John Barr in 2007, his widow, Kelly C. Barr and her cousin, Kelly S. Barr, began lobbying the state legislature to change the penalty from a misdemeanor to a felony. The Barr family extends their thanks to OJJPAC readers who helped get the legislation passed. |

Bonner, President of the National Border Patrol Council and Steve Salvi, founder of OJJPAC.org, recently discussed how Mexican drug cartels are posing an increasing threat to U.S. national security. The cartels are becoming increasingly aggressive in engaging U.S. Border Patrol Agents in firefights with military grade weapons on our Southern border. James and Margie Rook's killer has been sentenced to 55 years in prison. However, that doesn't mean much to the Rook's who are now dead--because Ohio politicians, including U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and Congressman Dennis Kucinich, keep supporting amnesty for illegal aliens (like the Rook's killer). If that's not bad enough, these Ohio's politicians work to undermine any meaningful enforcement of U.S. immigration laws. Their sympathies are with illegal aliens, not Ohio's citizens. IFCO Investigation Continues L Rittman, OH -- OJJPAC traveled to Rittman, Ohio, two years ago to investigate IFCO Systems, an international logistics service provider. IFCO was raided by federal law enforcement for hiring over 1,100 illegal aliens at a number of its U.S. based plants. IFCO has a number of pallet services facilities in the U.S., including its Rittman, Ohio facility [near Akron]. OJJPAC spoke with a number of people in Rittman. Some citizens OJJPAC spoke with were neighbors to some of the illegal Guatemalan workers allegedly hired by IFCO. After the raid, the illegal Guatemalan workers were replaced by American workers, some of whom had been displaced by the illegal alien workers brought in by IFCO. Here's what an industry trade article wrote recently about additional IFCO management indictments. Judge Dismisses Rape Charge against Illegal Alien Something is wrong with this story in which Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Judge Edward O'Farrell recently dismissed a rape charge against an illegal alien. Just because the alleged rapist Andres P. Pedro was turned over to ICE doesn't make the issue of the alleged rape to an Ohio woman inconsequential. If the rape charge is true, the victim deserves justice. If ICE merely deports this criminal illegal alien, the illegal will likely be able to sneak back into the U.S. within days of his deportation (thanks to lax U.S. border enforcement). OJJPAC to work for repeal Mexican Matricula Consular ID card in Lake County Cleveland--The founder of OJJPAC.org, Steve Salvi, announced today that OJJPAC.org will work to repeal a Resolution passed by Lake County Commissioners in 2005 which endorsed the use and acceptance of Mexican Matricula Consular ID's in Lake County, Ohio. (Link to the Lake County Resolution here.) Salvi stated that Matricula ID's are a threat to national security and undermines the rule of law. "The only value of a Matricula ID card is to an alien or terrorist illegally living in the United States. For public officials to give official recognition to this fraudulent form of "ID" is tantamount to a subversion of federal immigration law and malfeasance in office" said Salvi. OJJPAC plans to organize opposition to any similar resolutions that are being considered or have already passed in Ohio. OJJPAC successfully opposed a similar measure in Cuyahoga County in 2006. |

Speaking at the event was Allen County Deputy Sheriff Bob Najmulski, who heads an illegal alien crime task force in Allen County, Ohio, and Rosanna Pulido, Field Representative for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).
